How long does a home inspection take?

The home buying process can be taxing, with lots of items to complete. Your home inspection shouldn’t be just another dreaded task and that’s why we like to answer the question upfront “How long does a home inspection take?”

To be as detailed as we should be, a home inspection will take 2-4 hours. This will allow us enough time to examine your home from top to bottom including setting up ladders, taking pictures, crawling in tight spaces, and walking the parameters of your property. During this time, you the homeowner or buyer may also choose to be onsite, so some of this time may involve hearing about issues you’d like to ensure are covered and sharing documents.

A final report is then written and shared typically within 48 hours.
